Our Process
Quote Process
If you live in the Toronto area, call us to discuss your basement contracting needs. We will arrange an appointment at your convenience to discuss your ideas and inspect your current basement. We will work with you, listen to what you want done and offer our own expertise to ensure your basement renovation is everything you want it to be. We will discuss when you want the job completed, and take measurements. You can expect a quote within 4 – 5 business days or sooner. All of our basement renovation quotes are valid for up to 14 days.
Payment Structure
Upon accepting the quote, we outline exactly what will be done as well as the cost of materials. Upon an agreement by both parties, we will arrange a starting date to begin renovating your basement. The first payment will be made upon delivery of materials. Typically, this will be on the first day of construction. Any further payments will be made as each stage is completed, as outlined in our agreement. Because we know every basement renovation is different, we customize each contract to suit our clients and their individual needs. For larger jobs, a deposit may be required. The final payment is made after the work is complete, and we have done a final walk-through with the customer to ensure satisfaction and that all of their needs have been met.
Start Date
Upon the scheduled start date, The Basement Contractors will show up at our agreed time with all the tools and equipment needed to complete your basement renovation. All additional materials will be delivered by their appropriate supplier, as we work with many companies in the Toronto area to offer our customers the best prices on their materials of choice. The building process begins on the first day, as we begin working on your basement project.
At The End of the Job
Of course, we work with our clients closely through our construction process to ensure everything is satisfactory. Once the job nears completion, we do a complete walkthrough with our customers to ensure everything meets their expectations and they are pleased with the result. After everything is done, we begin our cleanup and remove all tools, equipment and excess materials, leaving you with a clean, brand new basement you’ll love.
